In 1965, Laston was the first to develop in Europe the technology of the lightweight cellular concrete with the Foamcem system, brand of which it is the only depositary. Such innovation allowed the enterprise to obtain the leadership in the reference market, not only at European level, but also world-wide, in view of the fact that it was the only user of this innovative technique in the field of building. During the time many similar enterprises have been forced to leave the market as no able to maintain positive outcomes; contrarily, Laston has never lost its position of leader.

In 1966, the company decided to propose the product during the International Fair of Milan and the following year at the International Fair of Boulogne. Such promotion leaded to the realization of the first activity of export of Foamcem in Venezuela in 1968. From this moment on the brand begins to appear also in other foreign fairs such as those of Bangkok, Singapore, Cairo, Johannesburg, Paris, Monaco and others. This allows to intensify the relationships and the exchanges with foreign countries.

Towards the end of the 1960s, once started up the Foamcem system, it was completed with the study and the realization of machineries purposely destined to the production, because the traditional equipments would not have permitted to obtain the result that the system allowed. At the beginning of the 1970s, after having tested the adapted technology, the quality of the material could perfectly satisfy the requirements of the market. This fact allowed a profitable development of the company. In the 1980s, after careful analyzes of the expectations of the market and important studies, Laston started the manufacturing of highly technological machinery like the fully automatic equipment installed on a truck, computer regulated, for Foamcem Cellular Cement production.

In the second half of the 1980s the Company accepted a new challenge. Aware of its leadership in the market of the chemical components for building due to Foamcem, it decided to diversify and to widen the production at the market, offering a product for coverings and waterproofing of the superficial ones: the epoxy resins. Initially their use remained circumscribed exclusively to the industrial flooring realization. Later on, Laston decided to develop once again the potentialities of these materials. Thus thanks to constant activities of research and development, it succeeded to refine the appearance of the flooring realized with resins, rendering them suitable also for structures used for trade uses and civil ones.

Today, thanks to a long matured experience in contact with the most various requirements of yard supported from continuous studies and tests of laboratory, Laston is able to offer a complete series of products with specific methodology. Therefore, besides the Foamcem, the equipments for its realization and the epoxy coverings, Laston concludes its offer with a series of defined special products, used in building restoring.
